Guided tours are available from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. tour includes the circa 1730 Newbold-White House, a seventeenth century Quaker graveyard, a reconstructed eighteenth century smokehouse, a seasonal kitchen garden, and a walking trail to the Perquimans River. The historic house is currently undergoing a second restoration and provides visitors with a unique and close-up look at this historic process. The site is situated on 143 beautiful grassy acres. Picnic tables and restrooms are available on site.
The Visitor Center features exhibits of eighteenth and nineteenth century folk and decorative art, a museum shop, and reproduction eighteenth century clothing and accessories. Visitors can also watch a video on the Periauger, a reproduction Colonial sailing vessel. Group tours are available seasonally March through November and year-round by appointment.
